I recorded this tune without even knowing the name ... I've had it in my head for ages. I do have the music for it somewhere, but I just can't remember the name! Here we go anyway .. :)

You play this so beautifully with expression. You do the tune right, and I love your vibrato which comes with experience. This tune sounds like the 4/4 march pipe tune, "The Rose of Allandale". I also thought it might be the slow 4//4, "My Lodgings in the Cold, Cold Ground"....but will go with the other. Thanks for playing this!

I got it right this time, and somewhat embarrassed, as this is one of Scotland's finest airs by J. Scott Skinner, "Music of Spey". I know Aly Bain has recorded this, and I listened to Alison McNeill on Electric Scotland play it as a set with Cradle Song and Neil Gow's Lament for His Second Wife. She plays with harp accompaniment.
