I learned this crooked tune from J. P. Fraley's playing on his LP of the same name, where he played it very deliberately. I'm on fiddle, with my friend Pete Anick on guitar.

Great job. I have J.P Fraley's version on file and the tempo for his recording is a tad faster.

Thanks, friends! I'm definitely a bit slower than the Fraleys (J. P. and Annadeene) although the notes are pretty close. I can't even blame it on old age since I recorded this 15 years ago. But I promise to play it faster next time I pick up my fiddle :-)

Hi Dave! I just heard this tune on Pandora internet radio and loved it. So I looked up your version and now I'm attempting to learn it. I'm guessing it is cross-tuned, AEAE. Is that correct? Thanks!

Standard tuning the way I play it, but you could cross-tune.
