I first heard this from the eponymous Fuzzy Mountain String Band album from the 70's. I always thought it was a fun tune.

Another good tune.
You've got a bit of a different twist on the first couple of measures of the A-part than the FMSB had.
Could be a reflection of your Missouri roots - a slight "Little Dixie" flavor to it... ;-)

I probably got the twist from another version I've heard by the Bashful Mountain Broadcasters. I do find myself playing a lot of the tunes at jams the way I learned them in St. Louis.

Charlie Poole did this one too. I like your version. I learned it not that long ago and have been playing the snot outta it, it's one of my faves, just that little bit quirky with the weird resolution.
