I'm getting an ugly scrunch sound on those pinky drone E notes because of my crippled pinky. Guess I should play these on the Fretter fiddle. This is my version of Dry & Dusty in AEAE

Now that's old time! I love the first tune- I guess I'll have to learn it. I hope that I can get that e drone scrunch right. :-) I like what you've down with Dry & Dusty as well. Love that banjo and fiddle stuff.

ps. where does the first tune come from? Is Cheny Armstrong your source or was it maybe written in his honour?

Cheny Armstrong's is on Gerry Milnes CD called "Hell Up Coal Hollar"> Gerry won the fiddle contest playing it at Clifftop back in the 90's.

Thanks for the heads up about this, Old Timer! Sounds great in A! Really love the low drones.
