A tune learned from the playing of Jesse James Abbott from around Toledo, IL. This one makes a great fiddle and banjo piece. AEAE, recorded 7/11/07. Chirps

This reminds me of "Snowbird on the Ashbank" in Jay Ungar's CD "Waltz of the Winds" Love it!!

Imagine this with Fred Campeau driving the banjo and Bill Sudkamp punching the calls.  Woohoo!

I think the "Fuzzy Mountain String Band" played this in both octaves - pretty easy to do in AEAE and breaks up the tune nicely.

You play it better than they did though... ;-)

Ahem - that comment just above about the Fuzzy Mountain Band playing it in both octaves was meant for "Pretty Little Dog" - not "Pretty Little Gal".
