This is the first song I ever recorded by myself! I'm playing all the instruments. Hope you enjoy it!

Hey, come play this next weekend at the Great Smoky Mountain Grace Bible Conference! I'll back you up with guitar or doghouse bass. I'll get other pickers to join us. It's at the Pigeon Forge Holiday Inn. The conference is free and it will bless your socks off.

Really? How many people attend? Would we have time to rehearase?

I checked the website for the Bible Conference. I've never heard of it before. Is Singin' in the Smokies the same thing as Music in the Mountains? Meaning, anyone can participate.

Yep, we'd have plenty of time to rehearse. Go to http://www.magnifiedword.com/ for information about the conference. We could rehearse Saturday afternoon and/or Sunday afternoon. Singin' in the Smokies is the highfalutin' title for the 6:00 -7:30 PM Sunday concert.
Lots of folks attend. We fill a big meeting room, and there are childcare/Sunday School rooms on the second floor for the young ones. The Bible studies are enthralling and very informative. There's lots to learn for students of the Bible.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say that anyone can participate, however, there is a signup sheet for the concert and special music throughout the conference. By some time on Monday all the remaining slots are usually filled. The folks that run the conference always tell me to bring my instruments (as many as I can cram into my minivan!), and they like that I put together ad hoc groups, including a capella singers featuring four-part SATB harmonies.
