I'm still working out a fiddle track that I can live with. I'm trying to do this shuffle thing with the bow, but it's a little fast for me. I have to play that way, cause the "B" part sounds so cool at this speed. I'll try to get the fiddle track done in the next few days...

Wow, that was fast! To hear a slower version and maybe get a few ideas for a fiddle part, go to my Music and listen to Barn Dance Medley No. 2; the first tune is the Big Scioty.

Will do, Michael!
I'll just have to work up to it. I love the banjo at this temo!

Also check out my page. I doubletracked myself with the banjo. It's a nice slow speed, like sittin' on a front porch on a hot summer day. I tend to like this tune at a slower pace.

Though he may be embarrassed for me making this comment, what the hey! I'm proud to say that Superdave2112 is my SON! I am constantly amazed at how quickly David picks up skills on instruments he was not formally trained on and with the incredible ease (to me) with which that happens. Most lately, his digital skills at recording multiple tracks into one have been born, and the 3 tunes posted by him so far represent knowledge and application skills acquired by him maybe over 3-4 months time, if that. I am constantly amazed and proud of his varied musical and other talents, but, of course, that's just a proud papa talking ... but who should know the son better than the father? And there you are and that's all there is to say about that! Give my boy any crap and you'll have to answer to Doug Dawg! <grin>
Sorry if I embarrassed you by this comment, Superdave! Delete this comment if you you want ... there will be no problemo from your dad.

Thanks Pops!
Very kind words indeed! No, I'm too old and goofy to be embarassed these days.
My Dad is a pretty cool fella, who, BTW, was asked to write a book about Spring Lake Amusement Park, which is now long gone. If you're not from around here (Oklahoma City area) then you don't know how cool it was. The Big Dipper was the first and scariest roller coaster that I have ever been on (which is a total of maybe four).
Anyway, I gotta go, Dwight & I are knee deep in an old 4 speed H-D transmission!
Thanks Dad,
David "Fit Diddle" Loudenback

I like the tempo! Also, really good usage of the 5th string in your banjo playing. - Jim
