Disclaimer disclaimer. I was just playing around the fiddle when I tried a new tuning and started playing this tune. I thought it actually didn't sound too bad but I know I probably speed up, and that I can work some on the bowing. I was just having fun and thought I'd upload my enjoyment.. :)

Zoukie, I think you did just fine! You have a good Old Time sound. Your bowing works well too. Not all Old Time fiddlers use a complex bowing- according to Dave Reiner, a simple 2+2 slurring pattern is used in West Virginia- and I jam with a real West Virginian who is trying to get his fiddle playing back after about 60 years of not playing, and that's the bowing he uses. I don't know if that's what you are using, but it's a similar sound, very laid back, and not as aggressive as some OT approaches... but it's a perfectly valid, traditional approach... AND it sounds really good when you do it that way.

Nice -- good drones and a fine rolling rhythm.

Nice tone and articulation! Your lowest notes sound rich and the higher notes are clear and nicely balanced with the low ones. That's a fine-sounding fiddle.
