DDad // I learned this from a Canote Brothers recording that I think was made a public jam session. (https://www.slippery-hill.com/recording/camp-meeting-4th-july) and (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8f7MR_dTOTY) I've heard a lot of versions of this - but I really like the relaxed feel that the Canote Brothers give to the way they play it. It is my favorite version. I have heard it said that the tune comes from Alabama fiddler James Bryan. And at least one story is told (by Dean Barber) - that James learned it from Tommy Jackson - who learned it from Coleman Barwick from Alabama.
