I was, at Weiser when you posted this. While I was there, I was involved in a small session of Earl Collins' tunes, and while I didn't play this one, I did play a bunch of his fine G tunes (Sail Away Ladies, Possum Sop and Pole Cat Gravy, Cotton Eyed-Joe, Fort Smith, Walk Along John, and Bear Creek). You should check out his fiddling, he's the bomb! I'm glad you've learned it and are enjoying it. I was wondering who was playing it regularly, now I know:)

Lovely. Sounds a lot like Earl, to me.

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate them. I wore out several vinyl copies of the "That's Earl" LP figuring out exactly what it was that he was doing. And, it didn't hurt when I finally was able to see Sauber elucidate some of that bowing, up close and personal.
