This is how I learn a tune on the Fiddle at the moment. I learn it on the Mando first, then pick up the Fiddle and have 90% of the work already done. That last 10% is the real hard part though (Bow technique, perfect intonation, feeling/timing).

This is my 1st recording of me playing anything on the Fiddle. I am a total beginner, and this is the very first song I taught myself to play in the first month of owning my Fiddle. This recording is being posted to chronicle how I progress at being able to play this song. More recordings to follow...

Yesterday I finally practiced this tune on my Mandolin in a Mandolin picking fashion, rather than fingering and picking the tune exactly like it would be played on the Fiddle. I just thought some of you might want to hear it played on the Mandolin.
