This is how I learn a tune on the Fiddle at the moment. I learn it on the Mando first, then pick up the Fiddle and have 90% of the work already done. That last 10% is the real hard part though (Bow technique, perfect intonation, feeling/timing).

Mando is a great precept fer tha fiddle frog, at's how I started. A lil more practicin on yer web fingers & a lil more bowing & it'll come with time. U'r a pretty good picker too.
SAY....how do u pik ur nose wit dem web fingers anyways ?

I have not yet really dug into this song with the Mandolin yet. I have just used it to get the correct notes, fingering, and slurring, memorized before I play it on the Fiddle.
