This song was learned from Louis Franklin, the family of fiddlers that included his brother, Major franklin. Others including John Hartford and Pete Seeger have recorded it over the years. Some historians credit to to the mid 1850's as "Turkey in the Straw." This version however, doesn't sound similar to that..
