An old Irish hymn, and one of my all time favorites. This and the Cabri Waltz were recorded at my father's home on a mini disc while we were there for his 80th birthday party. Some bloopers and blunders in it...oh well..

From a Sunday night jam with my favorite fiddler - Jake Krack at Clifftop 07 this year. Todd Clewell on guitar, Bob Buckingham on mandolin, I am on banjo. We were all goofing around and having fun as usual. I really look forward to playing music with this group of old friends each year.

Here's one to help chase the winter blues away. From a couple weeks ago, recorded around 2:30 am during a Monday night jam! Long story, the short version is that Jane Rothfield was returning from a week of southern concerts and dances and bringing Jimmy McCown (KY) north to do some radio shows and concerts near Albany, Jane's van transmission self destructed, we did a 5 hour round trip drive to get them and ended up jamming from 1:30 to about 3:00 am. What else could we do but play some tunes after that! We didn't really realize how late it was until we stopped... Jane fiddling as well as ever even after about 14 hours in the car, ice storm, and van self destructing, etc. Jane and I on fiddles, Jimmy playing his fantastic 6 string clawhammer, and my son Russ on guitar.
