I've never played an instrument before and I don't read music, but I've always liked the sound of a good fiddle. So I picked up my first fiddle a few months ago (February 2007 at the age of 48) and found myself a great fiddle player nearby who likes to teach (Bruce Sedloff, who also turned me on to this site). So here I am, feeling like a 5-year old and trying to tap my foot in time while playing Mississippi Sawyer. If this is my midlife crisis, I'm OK with that.
