I am retired after a 38.5 year career with the Arkansas Dept of Parks and Tourism. Eventually Ill be moving back home to Fayetteville. Love Bluegrass but prefer old-time. I've fooled around unsuccessfully for years with a fiddle and guitar but intend to learn OT fiddle and claw hammer banjo. If you know anyone that is patient and willing to help I'd be I have several fiddles and several more old open back banjos.......hopelessly looking for more. I also love painting with watercolors. My wife and I are members of the Mid Southern Watercolorists. I currently live in Little Rock. One of my banjo idles live a few blocks away. He has one of the most amazing collection of old banjos all of which are very top end collectables. He considers himself to be the care taker for future enthusiasts. He believes they are better investments than stocks and bonds. So far he's been right. Little Rock is an OT desert however, Fayetteville and the surrounding area has many players. I can't wait to move and join the fun.
