I had a really positive Fiddle lesson, on Friday. I got some new exercises to get my Bowing back in line, and some great Finger warm up exercises, my teacher had lots of time to listen, let me make notes and also come away from our session with some work for me to get on with ... Altogether really Cool,

I picked up my first Instrument an Old Accordion with split bellows at about the age of 10 years, and have been fascinated with musical instruments all my life. I often look at and listen to other musicians play, and make sounds, that I can only dream of, and wonder at how they make these fantastic creative sounds. I play in a Cornish Rock Band.... I say " Cornish because were not English " ... England is the Country next door to Cornwall ... Cornwall or Kernow is a seperate Celtic Nation in Great Britain We are a small Country down in the very bottom of Great Britain almost like a foot to look at ... anyway ... I write the Original Rock Material for our band, Kowethas, we perform Original Material and some songs in the Cornish Language, and some Chilled out New Age type of sounds in another band called the Celtic Ash band. I dont read the dots or music or am I trained as a musican, I am self taught, and currently teaching myself to play the Fiddle by ear and to play Traditional Cornish Celtic Music, I also create new sounds as they present themselves, perhaps with a Pagan New Age Influence on the Fiddle.
