I started playing violin in school when I was 9, but started playing by ear when I was 10. I entered my first fiddle contest when I was 13 and I've been competing ever since. I started teaching my first student when I was 14. The same year I began playing in a bluegrass group called "Bluegrass Co." I also played in numerous country bands. In 1983 I began working with Andy Robinson Productions playing fiddle and singing backup. In 1985 I moved to GA and played with numerous bands including "Southern Touch" which I was a member for 15 years playing fiddle, guitar, percussion's, and vocals. I am now back in WA and am once again competing and teaching fiddle.
