Currently playing guitar, mandolin, and starting fiddle. Some banjo, but only enough to get into trouble. I have done some repair work to instruments, and recently set-up my first fiddle. (One of my own of course) Got pretty good results. It was the Adler Dresden fiddle, and required re-dressing the nut and fingerboard, and bridge shape, thickness and placement. Luckily, the soundpost was still standing so I just had to move the bridge around until the volume and intonation agreed. It was too much fun! I just started reworking a Palatino 450, and I am getting monster volume out of it.
