been repairing brass and woodwind instruments for 29 years. Partners in repair business for the last 15. caught the fiddle bug when my son started playing. have tinkered with fiddles for years. would like to start learning correct ways of doing repairs.have experience in rebuilding and reselling old beat up cheap fiddles to break the monotony of band instrument repair. still love to do it but after 29 yrs. it's nice to broaden a little. my son and his pickin' buddies are my inspiration ( 14 yrs. old). would like to pass my trade on to him along with some string knowledge as he is a very good fiddle player. will enjoy learning tricks and tips from this forum and possibly add something with my limited knowledge. thank you.
