I have been playing music in one form or another since I was a kid. I was a typical "band geek" in school. I played in a few "garage bands" back then, too. I had never picked up on the fiddle until quite recently when the Bluegrass bug bit me and I saw people like Bobby Hicks and Michael Cleveland performing live. That got the passion going, but I'm still lacking in ability. I tend to focus more on playing guitar these days, but I still intend to develop some level of amateur proficiency on the fiddle. I come to the Hangout for information, advice, and anything that can help accelerate the learning curve.
