I applied the ground/sealer coat late last night, and left the fiddle hanging in the shed all day, where it got pretty hot today. It is nearly dry, so I brought it in the house.
Tomorrow night, I anticipate adding the first layer of varnish...actually, probably a coat of propolis, first, to try to make the front color match the back a little more closely, then the first coat of varnish. I posted photos over in the forum. Pretty maple, isn't it? I hope it sounds as good as it looks. :-)

I play guitar and violin/viola by ear...not much good at any. I build my instruments from scratch, though (violin, viola, cello, bass and five-string fiddle), and good players like them, so I guess I'm satisfied with being a mediocre player, myself. Though I do want to improve...
