This is a fine violin made by Daniel O. Smith in Lynchburg, Virginia in 2011. It has a gorgeous two piece back with matching ribs made from American maple. It has a rich red oil varnish and is made, as are all Smith violins, on the Guarneri del Gesu Cannon model. It has a powerful tone with an easy response and a charming depth of color.
It will be shipped in a lightweight case unless another option is desired. A few fine old cases are available upon request. Bows are available as well, some of which are listed on this site.
