The tune is Stack 'em Up in Piles or Stacked Them Up in Piles. My whistle interpretation of this Melvin Wine tune is very Scottish sounding. Are there any Scottish players out there who know of any Scottish origins for this tune? In some references, it may be a song called "The War Song", though I seen a few of them that have that title and they don't have this melody. I do know just about all the American references to the tune; that it was from the Civil War; that is was from the Revolutionary War.
I've uploaded the tune to my homepage. Please take a listen. One time through me on the whistle then one time through Melvin on the fiddle.

I'd give Jim a try. He likes the Scottish tunes, and has good knowledge of them.
