Hello Fiddling Friends-

Three of us from the Reiner Family Band played on Columbus Day at Buell's Orchard in Eastford, CT. I'm on fiddle and occasionally mandolin, Paul Harty is on guitar and harmonica, and my son Eric Eid Reiner is on piano (www.ericeidreiner.com). The other three band members weren’t there that day.

It was pretty relaxed, with about 1000 people enjoying hayrides, apple picking, touring the cider press, visiting the Orchard Store, etc. -- to say nothing of munching on chicken, burgers, corn chowder, candy apples, and more.

We didn’t rehearse, but threw together some interesting set lists, arranged our tunes totally on the fly, and really had fun! The sound mix was adequate, although it was a little tough to mix from stage. I recorded us on a Edirol R-09 MP3 recorder from the mixing board.

I thought you might enjoy some of the fiddle tunes, so I posted 46 tunes just as we played them live. The list is below. Most are from various oldtime traditions including New England, plus a bit of bluegrass, Irish, and a few other styles.
