I was playing through some G scales and this melody began to form in my head. I had no choice but call it Monday Morning Waltz. I know that there are several mistakes in the recording, but I needed to get it down less I forget it later.

You only have power over people so long as you don''t take everything away from them. But when you''ve robbed a man of everything, he''s no longer in your power - he''s free again.

Man-AH-Live I don't see how you do it! These tunes just roll out of you... This one was a nice plesant way to start a Monday, and a gray one here in Atlanta....

Thanks for posting it.

Hey, that's a pretty nice composition. There's good phrasing, congruence in the A and B part, has enough notes, gaps, and pickups to be distinctive and interesting, and most importantly, its not overcomposed. Not sure if you did this intentially, subconsciencely or accidentally, but analyze the first notes of each measure. You'll notice a nice pattern, that forms a lot of successful tunes.

Thank you, Shayne. I used to not take it seriously and try to record myself before I forget it. If you asked me to play it right now without hearing it I would not be able to, that's how quickly they come and go. I encourage anyone reading this to get some type of recorder and make sure you do not leave anything "on the table" when it comes to the stuff in your own head.

Maybe it is subconscious, Jim. Since all of us have been playing these fiddle tunes all of our lives there come to be a sequence of notes that we come to expect I suppose.

Thanks for the generous comments everyone. I am humbled and appreciative that you cared for it at all.
