Some people, like myself, hate tabs and just want plain sheet music. The site has a tablature archive full of TABLEDIT files, but it would be nice if that archive could also include PDFs of sheet music. At the least, perhaps PDFs could be encouraged since not everyone has the software to open tablature files (anyone can open a PDF)

Tabledit has a free reader, and isn’t just tabs, it can make notation too.

Hmmm.. I've never looked into the Hangout for Sheet music.. I've always had good luck by typing in "name of tune" Images.. sheet music often miraculously shows up.. But I agree that sheet music is the Best way to get those hard to hear notes..

Unless the transcriber heard it wrong...

Ain't that the truth.. So often I find 3-4 transcriptions of the same tune supposedly played by the same guy and they are Nowhere similar.. Which Is why I play tunes the way "I" want to play them..

I suppose it would be convenient to have it here, but if you google search about any of these old tunes notation usually is there under images.
Sometimes just adding pdf after your song title in the google search will get your result quicker.
Here is a good site if you play old-time.

The hangout seems to be more of a forum than a site to learn tunes, but that is just my observation. I know when I first came here I did try those links in the learn tab. Lots of them were dead or tabledit files.. which I'm not a fan of either.
