Here is mine. I checked the condition of a deck post in its underground area and found that the post was compromised with Rot... I'd put it in New about 20 years ago. So.. so far I've had to disconnect 5 posts one at a time, dig them out and replace them with Ground Rated treated posts. All but one post was compromised to the point that I'm wondering why my deck hadn't fallen by now.. I saved the deck, and my reputation as a deck builder!! Apparently, 20 years ago the 'ground rating' wasn't much a thing. I have two more posts to replace. Not easy, but FUN....
PS.. I got the idea of checking the posts from a Youtube video of an inspector checking deck posts...Glad I watched it.
What are YOU working with this spring?

Last month, a partition wall in the shed. 8ft. tall, 25ft. long.
Day before yesterday, a homemade landscape rake. Mounts on the three point on the tractor.

Hmmm...We've been in a new build for 5 years now and all of our outdoor tools spent the past 5 years leaned in a corner. So when you needed something, you had to dig for it. 2 weeks ago I finally invested in a 2 x 4 and a bunch of attachments to hang everything. Changed the whole vibe of the garage for pretty cheap. :)

wow good!! We also have the pile of tools in corner of garage right now...ours has been there for 20 years...

The last construction project we did, that we were quite proud of, was the ramp we built for our elderly dog. Plywood, bolstered with 2 x 4s, and topped with fake green plastic turf for paw feel and traction...AND, it had walls so he wouldn't fall off the side. ( He was unable to go up the four stairs into the house anymore...)

Awww, that's super sweet. I wished posting pics on here was easier but yea...now our garage makes sense.

My latest project was modest. I've been a builder all my life, but retired for the most part now. Sometimes I'm a little like the cobbler whose children run around barefoot. I finally realized the screen door on my front porch was about 5 years past replacement time. Tattered would be a kind description. So I brought it in the shop and rebuilt the whole thing. Not a big deal but satisfying, and bug season is coming.

Before the rains came... I built a new raised bed with a nice wide and tall arbor made with a cattle panel. I reorganized everything in that area (was already garden) and got stuff planted.

DW has a cattle panel in the same fashion. That's her pickle tree.

It's more than enough for me to try and keep the front and back yards from turning into jungles. If I had the energy I'd be mowing the lawn everyday, and clearing weeds every other day. Maybe I've mentioned this before, but it strikes me as totally amusing that a several neighbors water their lawns. Hey! In this burg the talk turns to drought when more than three days go by with no (usually quite heavy) rain.
