I have an idea that Garry Harrison's tune Old Bob is written for Lincoln's horse and I'm not sure why I think that. While that was the name of Lincoln's horse, does anyone know if that's what GH had in mind with that title?

No Carl, I think he is referring to the A tune by Garry and on his Red Prarie Dawn CD.

I like Gusty's version better, but not a jam tune like Gary's is. It's a very complex cool tune for sure.

Thanks Carl.....!!

I don’t know Gusty’s version, where can I find that?

Oh I see, that version is the link that Carl sent. I hardly recognized it. Do you think Garry’s tune is just his version of that?

I'm not familiar with this tune and unfortunately didn't know Garry, but I just did a little poking around and found this archived thread from the BHO: banjohangout.org/archive/334312 (among other references on Google).
It says that Garry composed the tune, and it describes a real person known as Uncle Bob. So not related to Lincoln's horse, or the Gusty Wallace piece.

Oh interesting, thanks so much ??
