Yep. Sometimes it happens. At tonight's regular Tuesday jam a fiddler from Indy, David Roberts visited.. I've known David for maybe 15 years and we only get together maybe once a year.. Well, at the jam tonight, he and I got knees to knees and the music was like magic....We didn't just play the tunes, we played 'off' one another.. Playing that one longs for.. tight, smooth, in tune and on time, with a good guitar player.. Why can't I get into that sort of playing every week??? We decided to go busking in October.. That'll be fun.......... So... Do you ever have those magic moments/people to play with?

Last Sunday Lee.
And most of the folks were folks I've not seen in at least a year, or longer.
I'm getting old enough where I can say stuff like this, but I think it's Love. Brotherly love. Love for the music. Love for the fellowship. Magic, yes. Absolutely.

It is the love of those moments in music, I have a banjo player that I play and sing with, that keeps me picking up my instruments and playing. Play on friends. R/

Yea, the magic is there consistently with my flute friend. WHen we play together, the music gets a relaxed rhythmic groove, a lift, a sense of breathing life, that I can not find with any other people (even players more technically skilled). I think they call it “musical chemistry”, and it just is unpredictable who will click!
