Any one near Long Beach Mississippi?

I am looking for local resources and community to connect with. I don’t have any friends that are interested in the fiddle. I can’t find any posted jams or sessions nearby. I have played fiddle for a few years at home solo but would like some opportunities to meet and play with others. I am also looking for luthier resources in the area. Local music shops I have found don’t really focus on violin.
I don't really know of any fiddle-specific resources on the coast. There is music around, though. I believe there is still a bluegrass jam every Thursday night at Southern Traditional Music on Dedeaux Rd. There was a wide mix of ages and abilities with lots of fiddle tunes the last time I was there a couple years ago.
The happening scene these days is the Northshore (Covington, LA area). The Northshore Traditional Music Society (nstms.org) is a bunch of mostly younger (20s-30s) folks who have been really active the past couple years booking shows, workshops, jams, etc. They've been mostly focused on bluegrass and Irish music, but they have a jazz jam going now. I think their next big show is fiddler Jason Carter on Sept 25th in Covington.
