Nice video of 2008 Clifftop includes a tune starting around 16:00 played briefly by a group in a tent followed immediately afterward by a couple young girls as a rainstorm begins. I know I know it, but can't for the life of me figure it out. I thought it was Nancy Blevins for a while, but it is different and also in the key if E instead of D. It's a common tune but what is it?
One of my complaints of this kind of video is they should always label what tunes are playing IMO.

That third part isn't played as a minor, like it is in "Old Joe. Pretty similar tunes though - in fact all C tunes sound about alike to me!

I like a lot of C tunes though. Kenny Baker plays a lot of them and uses 2nd position. I've transcribed a few.
Yeah, I was just kidding. The Skillet Lickers played a lot of good ones in C. Its a great guitar key - a lot of those oddball Riley Puckett runs are in C. Lots of others - "Pike's Peak," "Wagoner," "Texas Gals," " Tennessee Mountain Fox Chase," "C&NW Railroad Blues," etc., etc.

Hell broke loose--yep! I like fiddle tunes in C ,too. I like fiddle jokes---Like ,there is only one fiddle tune--Old Joe Clark---All the rest are just variations.
They have C licks which is what makes them similar to me. I'm not sure why, but C licks stand out to me way more than any licks in other keys (Bb has some particular licks too), particularly in the fine parts, often the "B" part.
