My Singing Bird.
I transcribed this tune from Dave Swarbrick's album, about the late 70's.
It moved me then as it still does.
I never had a chance to play it at a gig, I hope it goes down well at the next jam.
Dave actually came to my home town in the late 70's, he played with Martin Carthy at the local Mechanics Hall just around the corner from my place. After the gig we saw Dave coming out of the venue, my wife said "go on, catch up with him", but I didn't want to disturb him. So she runs after him and told me that he was such great guy and he was just going for a pizza.
