This was recorded at Appalshop in Whitesburg, KY on a 1/2 inch 8 track recorder for their album "Dixie Highway Sign," which has some other great songs. Some fine fiddle playing by the late Peter Ostroushko.
A humorous sidelight - Linda was singing with a lot of vibrato back then, and one reviewer accused us of electronically "enhancing" her voice somehow - which we couldn't have done even if we'd wanted to.
