And interesting to hear/see what I think is “chopping”. (Playing Irish /Celtic genre, I’m not so familiar with it…but I think that’s what it is!)

i think that chopping Mason is doing there is re-enforcing the chord progression while keeping a mandolin type rhythm going, (how else you going to back up your buddy?). i call it chunking. It helps when i've got to take a break myself....But nowhere near as good as Mason is doing there!!... Great tone, attack and on string bowing .... No nonsense playing. Thanks again for uploading.
