Practitioner of old-time music since 1979, offering technique assistance and repertoire growth in the aural tradition supported by philosphy and a punk-rock attitude.
Integral to the Central Va old time music scene in the 90s, musical director of The NYC Barndance 2005-2019, guitarist & singer with the Forge Mountain Diggers and the Freight Hoppers, and fiddler with Sara Savoy's Cajun band 2012-2019.
Currently re-intergrating Central Appalchaian traditions with it's West African roots in real time via my group Immigrant Music and Jelí Syba Sissoko's FôlyManding.
Offering in person one-on-one lessons and workshops for guitar and fiddle at my studio in the immediate Paris banlieue of Montreuil (in the historic site of Ermolieff/Pathé/Albatros films)
All playing levels supported, online lessons available as well.
