Thanks Peghead. I guess at this point in my fiddle playing career I'd just say that the fiddler in this song and I have quite different styles of fiddling and I still can't really play her style. When I wrote that I might have been implying that I wished I were that good or something to that effect. We still sound quite different I think, but I'm very happy with my sound at this point and still really enjoy hers.

Love it! Understand what you're sayiong about different oldtime fiddle sounds Carter. Oldtime fiddle is a wide open field. So many subsets. I would say this fiddler comes from a classical bakground??

She plays all sorts of stuff, but I'd say she mostly comes from a Western swing contest style. I know she has some background in playing Irish stuff too.
