Joe played at least 4 versions of Sally Ann. The one in aeae is similar but not
identical to what you got from Bill so maybe there was yet a fifth version, unless Bill got it from someone else. At any rate Bill's/your take on SA is really fine. I would guess that outside of NC-VA-East TN mostly SA is played in A.

frfiddle, Bill played "Sail Away Ladies", too. I usually think of that and "Sally Ann" as the same tune, but he played them as two separate tunes.
