This is a Skillett Licker's tune - they liked to play in C because it seemed to fit Riley Pucket's voice range. I don't know if the tune originated with them though and - if not - where it came from.
Your version is different than there's - more melodic I think. I like it though.

I have the Skillet Lickers, this one for some reason is easier for me to hear the melody, maybe the guitar is not so dominant
