A brilliant moody piece and excellent recording. Poignant, contemplative and done with just the right touch of acoustical reverb. I really like this, and wondered what makes it sound just slightly different. I suppose its the different A tuning. I like the pauses too, and can't exactly say why. Perhaps it's because there are so few in life anymore, and being from Indianapolis myself I miss the slower bygone days this piece brings to mind. This would be great in a film or Masterpiece Classic.

The double stops are brief and enticing, I sort of want more, but that would be too much. The lightness of tone and bow are testament to the fiddler's skill and interpretive wisdom. Bravo!
