From Uncle Bunt Stephens Sorry about the recording quality; I recorded it on a voice recorder

Great fiddling, Mike! I'd love to hear more... maybe even on a better recording setup. But the voice recording does make it sound even more like an old wire recording.

This is really nice Mike.. I've thought about learning this tune sometimes... now I'm re-inspired.
I too, like the strange tone of the recording. How about some more recordings?

oh by the way.. I'mcsurious about something... from your photo there, it looks like you're resting your left elbow on your leg as you play. Do you do that regularly? or is that just an occasional thing, captured in this photo? I've wondered about that because I find myself trying that out sometimes. Some days it seems like a comfortable thing to do..

Great job on this tune!! Now I'm going to have to learn this one. I still have a fiddle sitting on the mantel tuned in cross tuning from the tune I tried to learn last week (Huntin the Buffalo), so I'm ready. Great fiddling.

Hunting the Buffalo is a good tune, too. I learned it from a friend a couple of years ago. Not sure how old a tune it is but I like it.

I love this tune. I used to play it, but I kept getting it tangled up with another tune and had to give it up. Maybe "Old Man I Want Your Daughter"?
