june Drucker. Has CD called Tumble and Leap. Funny, I just spent a bunch of time with her this weekend at the Portland Old Time Gathering. Yes, it's a great style. In fact, about an hour and a half ago she and I were talking about it's origins in Ithaca, NY, and all those folks back who lived there a bunch of years ago. Her main instrument is the bass, but I guess right now she's playing drums in a cajun band. Go figure!

Yes, June Drucker....she has inspired me in the past.. "Going Back To Israel" for instance.. It does seem that a lot of good fiddlers have passed through Ithaca......Now, I'll work on that tumble and leap style... Thanks for posting that tune ... Lee

"Going back to Israel" - yes, awesome! I was knocked out by that tune in the 80's and still play it. I think accessing her style would entail learning Tommy's lick, saw stroke, and probably a lots of other stuff. Good luck!~ Bruce
