This must have been totally stripped, if it's your Guldan. They were known for having a graduated brown to gold hard varnish, which is actually pretty distinctive and fun. I have photos of a couple I can send, if you're interested.

Yup, this was completely stripped before I got it. I liked the look of tung oil on it, nice traditional patina.
I would like to see your Guldan's as I have not seen one in original finish!
