Nice shot. Nice plane. When you get those batteries, take a few shots of your plane. Few years back, I built a pietenpol aircamper.
Because of my health, I don't fly anymore, but I started out young by flying gliders. If you want to check out my old plane I had, go to this link, http://members.core.com/~skycarl/pietpage1.html
some of the pages and pics may not come up anymore.
Always love to see other flying fidders.
Carl

I just started flying in July of this year. Next year I'll be working on my commercial and instrument. My goal is aerobatic airshow performance. I'll be taking aerobatics either in Tucson, AZ or in California when I go there in two years.
I'm only 18 and I don't have a plane yet, unfortunately. I don't even have money to pay for my flight training! I'm enrolled in a college flight program but I don't want to get in debt so I won't do loans either. The only way that I can fulfill my dream is with scholarships. So far, I've received enough scholarships to pay for my Private certificate. I have been very, very blessed and I'm so thankful. When I get a plane, though, that is what I want: a Pitts Special.
Did you just fly for pleasure or...? How many hours do you have?
Alice

Hi Alice,
Geez, I have several thousand hours, but that's spanning a time period from 1968 to the present. I fly just for personal pleasure.
The Pitt is a pretty bird. I had a friend that had a Starduster II, that was a lot like the Pitt. ( less dough too ;) ) I always love to see young people interested in aviation. You know a good practice tool is the Microsoft sims. They are very accurate and you can use your charts, approach plates, set the weather and use your e6b for nav,, all that and no dual time. I would have loved to have something like that when I was young to help hone my skills. And you can fly with others while doing it. Pretty cool.
If you ever want to hanger talk, drop me a line from my homepage here. Remember the three most important things to watch while flying,,, airspeed, airspeed,, and ahh,,, airspeed :)
