Cutaway in treble-side rib, enabling soundpost placement & adjustment, is visible, as are the geared tuners. The edges of top were stained red, but I don't like the bright red. I'll tone-it down with glazes of burnt umber, or near-black. To protect the soft edges, I rubbed superglue & linseed oil onto them. This mixture 'cures' almost-instantly into a hard topcoat, but I didn't get consistent results, so eventually spots will be re-done. I thought about using commercial wood hardeners, but they're notorious for sinking deep into the wood and I didn't want large areas along the edges of the top rendered epoxy-hard for fear of negative tonal consequences..
