bolt with threads cut off, then thinned to fit through the f-hole, drilled to fit a 1/8" stainless steel thick-walled tube. I wanted something that was heavy but small enough to fit through the f-holes on all of my fiddles.....and the f-holes are different on all of them. It is made slim enough to fit in the thinnest f-hole I have. It works so well.....you lightly tap to move the sound post a tad on each tap.....top, top, top, bottom, bottom, bottom, etc. So easy.
