There is a famous poem by Wallace Stevens called "The man with the blue guitar"...
You can easily find it on the internet.
I once painted one of my electric guitars blue because I liked the poem so much. I'd like to have a blue fiddle, but I wouldn't paint one- I'm sure it would ruin it.
