Pauline, I stumbled across this picture in your album and it brought tears to my eyes. I had the best music teacher in the world in elementary public school in Tulsa Oklahoma. I took 2 yrs. of violin from him and in the sixth grade switched to clarinet. At the end of the sixth grade yr. he arranged an audition for me with the All City Orchestra in which I managed to win 4th chair. He instilled in me a love for music that has lasted a lifetime. I went on to learn many instruments and in fact have been a professional musician since the age of 16. At the age of 62 now and still playing 2 to 3 nights a week, I MUST say THANK YOU Mr. Finn.

I, too, have string feelings of appreciation for my violin teacher who was my mentor. My memory of him is quite vivid, as if he were still with me today. I have a framed photograph of him clearly visible when you enter my home. A lot of people have asked me whether the picture is of my father. He was a very strong and very good influence on me.
