Here are some pictures of an old mandolin I picked up today from a barn sale - talked to the lady who sold it to me, she said it was her grandfathers (apparently he had a whole bunch of them). It has fantastic sound, still in tune even! Now - I don't know a thing about mandolin's, that's what she said it was but I'd love to hear what you all think of it!! Since it is tuned just like a fiddle I can play around on it with tunes I already know. It was only $15! His old fiddle was there too, ($10) but it was spilt beyond repair. Tell me what you think!

Someone over at Mandolin Cafe could probably ID this for you. Very cool, I like it a lot, great find!

Yeah, I should get over there & see what they think too! See if I can find out what kind/style of mandolin it is.
