A friend of mine gave me this old fiddle, it had been in his father-in-laws attic for around 40 years and was there when when he moved in. My friend has had the intrument for quite a few years . Dave estimates it's age as around 70 years, but could be more as it's history prior to Dave's father in law taking the house in Bolton- on Dearne is unknown.

When he gave it to me, it had no fittings but for two tuning pegs and the sound post was loose. A weels work and it plays well.
